With over 26 years in the Aerospace Industry, Scott Starin brings a strong technical and scientific background, along with a common sense approach to the issues facing our nation and Colorado’s Second Congressional District.  Currently, Scott is an electronics systems engineer and project manager with Ball Aerospace and Technologies Corp. in Boulder, Colorado.  Scott’s knowledge and capabilities in space systems and engineering are ideally suited for the high technology base in this area.  His experience in energy conversion and motion control will be a welcome addition to Congress, where more scientific background is needed. 

Why I am Running:

   I, like many Americans, am frustrated with the partisan bickering in Congress. There have been calls for a higher level of dialogue, but too often, the discussions revert to finger-pointing and general contempt. 

I believe that the United States is the country of opportunity and freedom, but there are many assaults on our liberties including high taxes, wasteful government processes and over-regulation. 

I believe what makes our nation special is what I call the four legs of American greatness: freedom, opportunity, security and ethics.  These fundamental legs provide a strong foundation for our Republic. 

As we update this website, you will see how maintaining balance between these four legs provides a strong foundation to address the critical issues facing our nation.
