Starin Releases Domestic Energy Op Ed!

    Scott Starin released an Op Ed piece on Why We Must Expand Our Domestic Energy Production.  The piece, which deals with the rising cost of gas and food, makes a compelling case to expand our energy exploration, and how we can reduce our demand of foreign oil and balance these needs with our environmental concerns. 

   The Op Ed piece addresses the hardships facing every day Americans, and how increasing domestic production will increase supply, calm the markets and have a profound impact on fuel prices.  Scott's background in energy conversion and the development of enabling technologies provides an enlighted perspective at the methods available today to assure our oil and natural gas exploration is managed compatibly with our environmental concerns. 

  Scott believes we must also develop alternative energy solutions as well as increase domestic production. The Aerospace Engineer will be releasing detailed position papers on the environment as well as alternative energy solutions, shortly. 

Why I am Running:

   I, like many Americans, am frustrated with out-of-control spending and special interest groups dictating policy in Washington.  The current system encourages wasteful spending and turns a blind-eye to inefficient government agencies.   I am also fearful of energy policy dictated by political environmentalism.  We must restore fiscal discipline to our government process and establish a sound energy policy that increases domestic production, increases alternative energy systems as well as balance our environmental concerns.  My background in business, energy conversion, science and engineering is ideally suited to address these critical issues facing our nation today.   

  I believe that the United States is a nation of opportunity and freedom, but there are many assaults on our liberties including over-taxation, wasteful government processes and over-regulation. 

  I believe what makes our nation special is what I call the four legs of American greatness: freedom, opportunity, security and ethics.  These fundamental legs provide a strong foundation for our Republic. 

  As we update this website, you will see how maintaining balance between these four legs provides a strong foundation to address the critical issues facing our nation.
